Between May 7 and 12, 1965, the Minister for Immigration, Mr Opperman, visited Greece as apart of an eleven week tour to promote migration to Australia. Mr Opperman signed new migration agreements in Malta, Germany and the Netherlands. In Spain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium, France, Greece and Britain he discussed Australia's immigration prospects with Government Officials, inspected Australian migration offices, gave dozens of press, radio and television interviews and even found time to meet some of his old cycling friends.
