Thousands of people called at the Good Neighbour Council of Victoria pavilion to see a display of Migrant Arts and crafts. The display included national costumes, embroidery, inlaid woodwork, painting and pottery. A highlight was a demonstration of art restoration by Mr France Benko, who migrated to Australia in 1957. Officially opening the exhibition, the vice president of the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, Mr A R Creswick, said that the display was further evidence of the integration of newcomers into Australian life.
