The Festival of Arts in Adelaide, South Australia, is becoming established as one of the liveliest arts festivals in the world. During two weeks of the 1962 Festival, 121 performances of opera, drama, ballet, and music were played by many artists including both Australian and overseas celebrities. Other features of the Festival were art exhibitions, flower displays and countless side-shows ranging from wine tastings to lunch-hour productions of intimate opera. Dutch migrants pose on a float during a procession which was a popular part of the Festival
