One of the world's most cosmopolitan cotton mills at Woodville, South Australia, is producing millions of sheets and pillow cases, and millions of yards of towelling and fabrics for the Australian market. Leading hand Fred Kappler (left) and Luigi Borsato, formerly of Venice, prepare the raw cotton for the first machine which removes impurities and turns the cotton into loose sheets ready for carding. Fred has worked in the mill since opening day in 1942, Luigi joined two years ago
