Adelaide Wickel, formerly of Assen (Drenthe) calls herself the happiest woman in Biloela, a new and thriving town in Central Queensland (Australia). For years she had assisted other Dutch people to migrate, not realising that she had planted the idea firmly in the minds of her own sons. Then her second son, Harry, decided to migrate to Australia. He made known his intention of staying, and so his parents and their other five children followed him just over two years ago, settling in Biloela. With a sunshade on his earth-mover, Gerard Winckel, 23, cuts another tract of land from virgin soil around Biloela, ready for cotton-planting
