German-born compositor Bruno Busch, 24, came to Sydney in January, 1961, and found a job in his own trade within two days of his arrival. In June, 1962, he left the job to join the "Streatfeild Press", a big printing firm in the heart of Sydney. He also enrolled in a course in layout and design for printing tradesmen at Sydney Technical College. In August, 1962, while attending a class at the college, Bruno heard about a competition for a cover design.
