bagpipe maker - Jim Martin, of Dee Why, New South Wales worked for a century old bagpipes manufacturing firm in Edinburgh before he came to Australia in 1958. After one year's work in a Sydney timber yard he bought a house in the Sydney suburb of Dee Why and began making bagpipes for Australian retailers. He uses mostly Australian materials including kangaroo skin and mulga wood. Every Friday morning he goes to town to sell the two sets he produces each week.
