Germans in the Barossa Valley - In February, 1953, two young men from Germany came to the Barossa Valley in SA for the eight weeks grape-picking season. Now, nine years later, they still live there with their wives, parents, brother, and sister-in-law. They are Werner Koehler, 32, and his brother, Gerhard, 30, who came to Seppeltsfeld on the edge of the Valley from Vor de Kinzig-brucke to work for B Seppelt and sons Limited, a firm founded by a German migrant in 1851. Werner fills a barrel with water to wash it in the cooper's shop, at the winery
