Germans in the Barossa Valley - Australian wines are among the best in the world - but still possess the possibility of further improvement, according to Wolfgang Blass a young German winemaker with six diplomas from three countries. Wolfgang, 28, is the son of a lawyer, from Frankfurt and is now the cellar manager of the SA Grape Growers' Cooperative near Nuriootpa, in the Barossa Valley. Wolfgang tests the quality of one of the wines produced under his supervision
