Bill Forwell, ex-RAF squadron leader, from Barn Hill, Dundee, is a pilot for Bush Pilots Airways. He came to Australia in September 1960 after retiring from the RAF. His job consists of mercy flights, mail runs, and "taxiing" over the 250000 square miles of North Queensland. He and his wife live in Edge Hill, a fashionable district of Cairns. Their 20 year-old son, now a radio technician, attended Gordonstoun School, in Scotland, before emigrating. Bill Forwell points out on the map some of the 250000 miles of North Queensland which he covers as a Bush Pilot

Lioness

Believe Bill Forwell was married to my first cousin once removed Jacqueline nee Swift. They had a son, Michael. I understood that Bill never returned from a flying mission in Australia, he was lost in the Bush. I visited Jacqueline in 2006, she lived at Yorkeys Knob near Cairns, unfortunately we seem to have lost touch, am unsure if she is still alive.
