Duncan (Jock) Campbell, of 30 Yarra Street, North Williamstown, a West Melbourne suburb, is the officer in charge of a fire station at Sunshine. Born in the Isle of Skye, he was a soldier and a sailor before migrating to Australia in 1950. In Queensland he cut sugarcane and in Victoria worked on hydro and brown coal electricity schemes before joining the Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade in 1953.
