Mr Basil Sidwell, 49, a former Coventry aircraft instrument fitter, is now a key figure in an Australian project to build and fly a prototype hovercraft type machine from Adelaide to Alice Springs and return in December 1966. His is in charge of construction of Gemcraft at Ross Aviation Parafield near Adelaide SA. Mr Basil Sidwell at work on the prototype Gemcraft ground effect machine.
