Of a staff of 28 at one of Australia's most popular snow sport resorts, 25 are new settlers. This is the tally at Thredbo, a picturesque mountain village set high in the Australian Alps, 350 miles south-west of Australian biggest city, Sydney. Each year during the snow season more than 600 guests holiday in the 45 lodges, chalets and motels at the village and thousands of others make day trips to ski at nearby Mount Crackenback. The 25 migrants working at Thredbo hail from England, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Germany and Yugoslavia. Looking up towards the ski trails on Mount Crackenback.
