Ernst Weber, 28, came to Australia 10 years ago, and after he had satisfied his spirit of adventure he settled in Melbourne. Here he took a job as an animal keeper in the zoo and is now the second inspector here. "The Australia n plant and animal life is a valuable treasure" says Mr Weber. He loves to spend his free time in the vastness of the bush, where he can watch Australian animals. His wife, Maryka, nee Scot, who came from the Netherlands with her parents, feels the same as Ernst. But Ernst doubts very much, that Maryka will allow him to keep snakes in the couple's new house, which is just being built. Breeding of reptiles is one of Ernst's main hobbies.
