Former Utrecht man Peter Stam and his family, now living and working in the new town of Exmouth in the north of WA, have adopted a completely Australian way of life. Peter drives heavy duty trucks for the US Navy new radio communications base at Exmouth, WA. Peter and his wife Clazina migrated to WA in November 1954, and have 2 daughters, Johanna, 12, and Elsanor, 10, both born in Australia. The Stams have a permanent home in the Perth suburb of Willagee, and live in a 21ft luxury caravan at Exmouth. "We now have more friends among Australians than among the Dutch" said Peter makes some adjustment to one of the many control panels in the power station at the US Navy's new radio communications base at Exmouth.
