The Good Neighbour Council of NSW held its 1960 State Conference at Federation House in Sydney over the weekend of October 28/29, 1960. Opened officially for the second year in succession by the State Governor, Lt General Sir Eric Woodward, the conference was attended by 300 delegates from 54 provincial branches in NSW and representatives of affiliated organisations and State and Federal Departments. Mrs Paula Kilian, delegate from Albury Good Neighbour Branch, which presented a proposal that every branch in the State should [house] one refugee family each as further support for World Refugee Year. The conference asked all the branches to consider the suggestion TITLE:
