Neighbour Council of Victoria display at the 1964 Melbourne Royal show, from September 17-26. A colourful representation of European migration to Australia was the centre piece of the display. It featured dolls in national costume, symbolically walking down a spiral path, extending from an elevated map of Europe to a large cut-out map of Australia. Other high lights of the display were an Immigration "scoreboard", eight foot high, a stand to encourage naturalization, a display of passports, old and new, and an exhibition of pictures on the theme - "Immigration Means An Expanding Australia". The privileges - and responsibilities of citizenship are stressed at a stand to encourage naturalization
