Felix Hoffmann is one of the hundreds of small farm owners who daily fight and overcome the problems attached to the development of those parts of Australia, which so far have hardly been touched by the hands of man. The story of his daily work and life of his wife Vera and their six healthy Australian country-born children is an interesting one. It is a life different from the farmer's life in European countries because Australia is a different country with different climate, larger distances, other soils, less rainfall and more sun. After the pipeline has been laid, through which is pumped to the top of the hill into his orchard, Fred was able to plant more orange trees. Without artificial irrigation the growing of oranges would be impossible
