The state of South Australia has Australia's principal deposits of iron ore, plus limestone and dolomite, all major raw materials for Australia's expanding steel industry. Irish born Driller, Morgan Stack, 38, (right) examines a drill with foreman Jack Kittel. Morgan, who lives at Iron Knob, came from Bannacross Airdfert, Tralee, County Kerry. He say his health has been netter in Australia and "my financial position has improved"



 this is a picture of my dad not long after immigrating to Australia

He died some time ago and have had the pleasure of taking my family to Ireland and where we enjoyed many stories of his past

Have never seen this photo of him before

This picture and story was run in local newspaper in Ireland, called the Kerryman, which my cousin saw and emailed back to me.
