At Whyalla, on Spencer Gulf, South Australia, Migrants from 14 countries are helping local workers build the biggest ship ever constructed in Australia. The ship is a 19,000-ton ore carrier for the Broken Hill Proprietary Co. Ltd., owners of the Whyalla shipyard. In the foundry at Whyalla, a British and a Dutch migrant work together.
