After WWII, Canada's internationally famous textile firm of Bruck Mills Ltd., took over the wartime aluminium factory at Wangaratta to establish operations in Australia. Glimpses of Australia while a merchant seaman convinced Stanley Mansell that it was a country with a future. Mr Mansell, now a fitter and turner at Bruck Mills, is buying his own house and has his own motor car. "My standard of living has jumped in Australia." said Mr Mansell
