Fred Vojtisek and his wife, formerly Naples have given Brisbane, Australia, seven fine children and a new form of entertainment in boulevard dining and dancing. Their restaurant trade has spilled out from two arcade shops into the arcade boulevard. Each night, diners and their tables, the band and artists and dancers take over half the boulevard. Fred is famous for his feats in carrying without a tray up to 10 plates laden with food. Fred and Olga have brought to Australia Olga's sister, brother and mother. Fred carries, without a tray, eight plates of food to diners

Hi there Vojtisek90,

Thank you so much for your comment.

We would love to hear more of your memories of your family and your Dad. Sounds like a crazy feat to be able to carry 10 plates withouth a tray!

We are current;y in the process of gathering stories for a new exhibition called 'A Ticket to Paradise? Lives and experiences of Australia's post World War II migrants', so would love to know more about your parents experience of comign to Australia. Even fascinated at the concept of 'boulevard dining' referred to.

You can email us at: destinationaustalia@naa.gov.au

Thanks again

Rhonda (NAA)
