More than half the employees at the 2 million Australian pounds English Electric factory at Rocklea, Brisbane, Australia, are immigrants. Of the 750 employees 47.8 per cent are Australians, 27.3 per cent are British immigrants and 24.9 per cent are immigrants from European countries. The Rocklea factory builds machinery ranging from electric motors, switchboards, transformers, valves and hydraulic equipment to giant diesel electric locomotives.
