An Australian firm owned by former Italians is working two shifts a day in Brisbane to keep up with the steadily rising demand in Australia for macaroni products including spaghetti. Ten years ago Nanda Macaroni Products Pty Ltd, made only ten tons a week, now it is turning out 100 tons a week. The boom in sales is due to changing eating habits of Australians, as a result of the post-war influx of immigrants, has led to the suspension of shipments of macaroni from Brisbane to Italy.
