Harri (Henry) van de Vorst from Eindhoven started making wooden toys in his spare time after migrating to Australia with his wife and family in 1952. Now he makes thousands each year in his 1600 Australian pounds workshop at the rear of the home he built himself. He makes 18 different types of toys and has made 7000 of one toy alone - a Dachshund which wiggles along as it is towed on its wheels. Brisbane shops buy hundreds of pounds worth of toys at a time from him. In addition Mr. van de Vorst builds hundreds of built-in home units ranging from wardrobes to kitchen units. He expects his enterprise started as a hobby, soon to become a full sized factory
