A film star welcome greeted Mrs Antonia Bellamarino when she arrived in Melbourne with her family on January 25, 1963. Mrs Bellamarino had been chosen by the Australian Department of Immigration and the Italian Ministry of Labour to represent the 250000th migrant to come to Australia from Italy since WW II. Mrs Bellamarino responds at a banquet in her honour on the liner Neptunia, after it berthed in Melbourne on January 25. Seen with her is the Minister for Immigration, Mr Downer and Lady Nathan, wife of the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, VIC. Thousands of people crowd Station Pier at Port Melbourne to greet the liner, Neptunia, which brought the Bellomarinos and other migrants from Italy
