Interpreter for Mr. Townley throughout his tour of the "AURELIA" was young Hungarian refugee Alfred Andrassy. Here Mr. Townley (right) talks to Alfred on the deck of the Aurelia. Mr. Andrassy, who fled from Hungary to Switzerland during the last stages of World War 11, returned illegally to Hungary in 1950 to see his parents. He was arrested by Hungarian Secret Police and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment as a spy. Revolutionary forces freed him and he fought in Budapest until forced to escape to Austria. His father was deported to Sideria in 1951 and he has not heard from his mother since 1950. Mr. Andrassy's arms still carry scar marks of torture by Hungarian Secret Police
