First Migrant Opera 'Mountain Lark', from left Nicholas Jewewsly, Bertrand Harrington, John Kingma, producer Steve Rook and Bela Dolesko who wrote the music - Hungarian-born Bela Dolesko has composed the music and Merle Harvey and Akos Olah, both clerks for the Snowy Mountains Authority, have written the lyrics for "The Mountain Lark", the first Australian opera dealing with migrants, which had its world-premiere in Sydney recently. Bela Dolesko, who came to Australia in 1950, at the age of 48, has studied at the music academies of Budapest and Vienna, and with famous composer Maurice ravel.
