Overseas talent was the main ingredient in the fine fare offered at Australia's third Festival of Arts. The names of top-class artists from Europe and America and gifted new-comers now settled in Australia were prominent among credits for the 165 performances of music, ballet, opera, drama, song and dance which drew 400 000 people to the two weeks' cultural feast. Welsh-born David Peters had no idea he would become Executive Officer of the Adelaide Festival of the Arts when he migrated to Australia two years ago from Barry, Glamorgan.
