Charles Frydrych, and artist who flew spitfires in the Battle of Britain, is among the most popular painters in Australia. He migrated from Garmisch Parten Kirchen in 1950, and estimates he has since sold more than 3,000 Paintings, including two to former Australian Prime Minister, Sir Robert Menzies. Charles, now an Australian citizen maintains a busy studio at his home at 16 Manse Terrace, St Mary's, Adelaide, SA, produces four to five canvasses a week for an average of $A 100 each.
