Seventy-five Greek girl domestics flew into Melbourne, Australia's second biggest city, in two airlifts from Athens late last month (June). They were soon working in Melbourne homes. The girls, among 130 Greek migrants on the two flights, were met at Melbourne Airport by representatives of the Greek Orthodox Church, the Greek community, the Young Women's Christian Association, the Intergovernmental Committee for European Migration, which trains girls in Greece as domestics, and the Australian Department of Immigration.
