Former Essex man, Barry Edward Glover saw many parts of the world in the British Merchant Navy. Now he is seeing more of the world as a sergeant in the Australian Army's Special Air Service Regiment (SAS). The Headquarters of he regiment are at a large Western Command base at Swanbourne, as seaside suburb of Perth WA. Sgt Glover arrived in Australia in 1956 after a year in New Zealand as a migrant. He joined the army in Sydney in 1958 and volunteered for the SAS in 1959. Hi is a former Western Australian amateur boxing champion.
