A University, heavily endowed with a migrant academic staff and sprinkled with students from many parts of the world, has sprouted into a unique position as a seat of learning in Australia within the last nine years. This is the University of New England at Armidale in NSW. It is surrounded by rich sheep and cattle properties and the beautiful bush country of the New England plateau.
