Brian Calvert, who settled in Australia 10 years ago, is now a star Rugby Union winger with the GPS Old Boys Club in Brisbane, a city of nearly 600000 people. Calvert played A Grade Rugby Union for five seasons in Sydney and then went back to England to see his mother, Mrs E Dixon Calvert of Kingston on Thames and to play with the Harlequin Club. He hopes to play Union for a few more seasons but is devoting more and more time to water skiing. Last year at weekends he was an instructor at a water ski centre on the QLD Gold Coast. He is also a surf lifesaver. Brian fits on a ski which bears his name and the water ski school where he was a part-time instructor last year
