Migrants from Britain and Europe are helping to set the stage for the VIIth Commonwealth Games which will be held in Perth, WA, from November 22 to December 1 this year. With a new 640 000 Australian Pound aquatic centre, a 500 000 Pound stadium and a village of 150 homes for the athletes - the first to built especially for the Commonwealth Games - organizing officials believe that the 1962 Games will set a new high standard for the series. Roof fixer on the Games Village site Owen Hawker, 39, migrated from Essex in 1947. He worked in Melbourne and Adelaide before settling in Perth in 1950
