Prospective migrants in Britain and Europe will in future get a preview of Australia's way of life when they apply to migrate. At special screenings in their home countries they will see an hour-long Eastmen colour film called, "The Way We Live". The aim of the film, made after detailed consultation with Department of Immigration officers overseas about the aspects of life in Australia of most interest to prospective migrants, is to show every-day life as it is for Australians and migrants alike in a typical urban community in South Australia. Pat Williams, assistant director and continuity girl for the film "The Way We Live" is herself a new settler from Britain. She arrived in Australia with her sales-manager husband in January after working in British films for five years. Camera operator is Australian John McLean
