Prospective migrants in Britain and Europe will in future get a preview of Australia's way of life when they apply to migrate. At special screenings in their home countries they will see an hour-long Eastmen colour film called, "The Way We Live". The aim of the film, made after detailed consultation with Department of Immigration officers overseas about the aspects of life in Australia of most interest to prospective migrants, is to show every-day life as it is for Australians and migrants alike in a typical urban community in South Australia. Ted Albrecht, 31, from Berlin, has been in Australia for eight years. He been working as an electrician in film since 1954 and is the senior electrician in the crew of "The Way We Live"
