four British schoolchildren are being given a VIP tour of Australia as the guests of the Government. They are the winners of an essay competition which the Immigration Department organised throughout Britain. The Minister for Immigration Mr Downer personally chose the winners who are Ann Wills, 15 from London, Shirley Godfrey, 12, from Nottingham, John Bailey, 15, from Cheshire and David Clark, 15, from Aberdeen. David Kennedy, whose father owns a sugar-cane farm at Nambour, just out of Brisbane, Queensland, shows the children how canecutters slice off the cane tops with a machete, a special razor-sharp knife
