Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, is a township of about 1500 people, located 600 kilometres south of Darwin. It is mainly dependant on the nearby Peko copper Mines and th Noble's Nob gold mine, although transport and tourism are playing increasingly important roles in the township's economy
