An Immigration Pictorial display opened in conjunction with the 9th Australian Citizenship Convention in Canberra on January 21 1958. In 100 photographs, the display, called 'Tomorrow's Australians', traces the development of perhaps the most important element in Australia's programme of population building - children. The display illustrates how children from many parts of the world can live, work and play happily together, how migrant and Australian-born, they share the same opportunities for study and honours in education and sport
