The Australian Citizenship Convention of 1962 was opened by the Governor-General, Viscount De L'Isle, at the Albert Hall, Canberra at 3pm on January 23. The theme of the Convention was "Citizenship". Delegates to the three-day annual convention comprised more than 250 representatives of nationally-constituted organisations from all parts of the Commonwealth.
