More than 300 delegates from all parts of Australia attended the Fifteenth Australian Citizenship Convention in Canberra from January 19 to January 22, 1965. The theme of this years' convention was "Every Settler a Citizen". A new understanding of the decisions that face migrants in a new country was gained by the delegates who attended the convention, which was opened by the Minister for Immigration, Mr Hubert Opperman, MP. Mrs M A Buntine (Girl Guides Association) and Mrs E Utassy (right), of the Good Neighbour Council of Victoria, admires the display of literature available to migrants in many languages
