More than 300 delegates from all parts of Australia attended the Fifteenth Australian Citizenship Convention in Canberra from January 19 to January 22, 1965. The theme of this years' convention was "Every Settler a Citizen". A new understanding of the decisions that face migrants in a new country was gained by the delegates who attended the convention, which was opened by the Minister fro Immigration, Mr Hubert Opperman, MP. The winner of the Youth Citizenship Award, Miss Truusje van Drempt, meets two other young delegates. They are Miss Helen Jagoe of the Young Christian Workers, and Mr Joel Jackling, representing the Methodist Youth of Australia
