Mr Bill Rutherford, son of a Tyneside coal miner, will arrive in Britain in mid-January as leader of a mission to encourage skilled workers to migrate to Queensland, Australia. Mr Rutherford is Queensland State Migration Officer. The four-man mission will spend 10 weeks in Britain seeking tradesmen, particularly in the metal, building and printing trades.
