A Dutch woman who in Holland rescued a child from drowning last year was presented with the "Carnegie Award for Heroism" by the Dutch Consul in Sydney. She is Mrs Janke Visser, 31, who arrived in Australia with her husband Gerrit and children Hidde, 14, Jan, 10, and Dirk, 2, in April of this year. The Visser family live at Scheyville Migrant Centre, NSW. Mr Visser, a plasterer, found a job within one week after arrival in Australia.
