Seraphin Nyirenda migrated to Australia from the Democratic Republic of Congo (via the UK) in 2008 when he discovered his life was in danger due to his work as a political reporter. A proud father, Seraphin was separated from his family for six years during his transit as an asylum seeker. Now based in Adelaide, where he has deep connections with his extended family and African heritage, Seraphin is a passionate social worker focusing on the settlement of new migrants.
