After a half a year my friend decided to move to another place and I had to decide what to do, stay in Sydney, find another place to live or move to another city. I did not like the centre of Sydney because it is so crowded and my work was in the centre, I went there always by ferry. I decided to go to Adelaide to a Dutch family I met on board the Southern Cross, the ship that got me to Australia. In Adelaide I stayed with this family for a while worked in different factories at the assembly lines, at that time not a chance for a decent job, Australians first was the motto. With one of the jobs I got unfit to work and had to live on social security for a month.
